New Friends Club of Frederick is primarily a social group. Promoting friendship is our goal. We also support humantiarian projects in the Frederick community through our annual fundraisers where all proceeds are donated to a local charity.

- Celebrate a belated Valentine’s Day in May with fellow New Friends and guests at a delicious lunch in Brewer’s Alley. (No snow in the forecast this time around.) Please select your entrée below. Includes a Beverage and Cash Bar – Iced Tea, Water, Coffee, and Soda. Alcohol costs will be on your own. All Entrees are served with Warm Dinner Rolls and Side House Salad. Plus enjoy a Dessert of Brewer’s Cookies. Prices are all inclusive. Note: we are limited to 55 seats, so RSVP as soon as possible. Be sure to write your entrée choice on your check. Make the check payable to New Friends of Frederick and mail the check to New Friends of Frederick at P.O. Box 3007, Frederick, MD 21705 to confirm your spot. Need to cancel? The closest parking garage is the Church Street Parking Garage behind the restaurant. Celebrating May Birthday Girls
Birthday lunches are a cherished New Friends tradition, now hosted by former club presidents. This May 5 at noon, all you Taurus and Gemini birthdays are invited to join Roz Godin at Oscar’s Alehouse for a birthday celebration. Separate checks.
The celebration includes a sweet complimentary birthday treat! Meet other May celebrants at a table reserved just for the New Friends birthday gals.
Oscar’s Alehouse is located at 906 N East Street, Frederick. Parking is plentiful.

Everyone seems to be eager for Spring to warm up a bit–and it certainly should by the time of our May Happy Hour! Let’s gather at Showroom, 822 N. East Street, on Wednesday May 21st from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Their wonderful gathering room is delightfully openair (but if the weather does not cooperate, we protected from the elements).
Showroom offers specially priced signature cocktails, wine and beer. They also have a Happy Hour menu and/or full menu for those who might like something to eat.

Join us to view the Frida Kahlo: Picturing an Icon photo exhibit at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown on June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.Just a few spots remain left for this outing!For fans of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, this major exhibition provides a rare and moving insight into the personal life of one of the 20th century’s most iconic artists. Through 115 photographs selected from her private albums, you see Kahlo through the eyes of friends and family, and witness her complex, enthralling, and often heartbreaking life. It’s a story of tenacity, creativity, passion, and politics—with imagery of personal friendships and her alliances with global impact.
