Welcome to New Friends Club of Frederick, Maryland

Whether you are new to Frederick or entering a new stage in life and looking for something exciting to do, New Friends of Frederick offers an open door to making new friends and finding activities to enjoy. 

New Friends of Frederick is primarily a social group.  Promoting friendship is our goal.  We also support humanitarian projects in the Frederick, Maryland community through our annual fundraisers where all proceeds are donated to a local charity.

Guest Speaker:  Robyn Monaco, Librarian at Urbana Regional Library, will discuss the special services provided
to seniors by Frederick County Public Libraries.  Robyn has been a staff librararian with
Frederick County Public Libraries for 13 years.   


  Minute for Charity:
Beginning at the January luncheon, we will begin selling tickets at $35 for the Spring Gala Auction
to be held April 14.   Our Gala promises plenty of fun and excitement with a Live Auction.
This will be our big fundraiser for Blessings in a Backpack.   Invite your Friends and Neighbors.
February - Loose Change ... please bring your loose change to the February Luncheon. 
The coins collected will be donated to Blessings in a Backpack.

Friends, one and all, come "Build a Hamburger" at Oscar's Alehouse West.
  All hamburgers start at $6.00. Each topping is $1 extra.  Select from 27 draft beers and other

Calling All Bridge Players 
If you are interested in helping to establish an intermediate Bridge Group, we are looking for you ! 
If you have a playing knowledge of the game and are looking for a social game, we might be able to
make up 1 to 3 tables.  Based on a group consensus, we would determine the type of bridge to play --

Hiking Club

Now that wonderful fall weather has finally arrived, the hiking group will be on the move again ! 
Our November event will be a walk through Gettysburg Battlefield.
