	Dear Friends, Can you believe the summer is almost over?  It sure has been a hot one.  My garden and yard sure have suffered. I, for one, have tried to stay cool by staying indoors or visiting the pool, hoping to beat the heat. The New Friends Board did not take the summer off. We had a summer of planning what we hope will be an exciting and fun year.  Join us for our first luncheon of the New Year on Tuesday, September 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Carriage House, in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  Do you like to read? We have a group for that.  Do you like? to go to the the movies? We have a group for that.  Do you like to eat?  We have several groups for that.  Do you like games?
